may:30 We went to the KC Hot Air Balloon Invitational, but this was the extent of the excitement. They started putting up their balloons, then had to take them back down due to lighting.

may:28 Pink oyster mushrooms. I pulled these out of the fridge just to take their photo! I still don't know what I'm going to do with them!

may:19 My roses are back, they came out of nowhere!

may:18 Week 2 of our CSA, several heads of different lettuces, a big bag of spinach, green onions, salad mix, kale, and tofu!

may:16 These are pea shoots, they were in our CSA bag from this week. I've never had them before, any suggestions on how to use them? :)

may: 12 We joined the Rolling Prairie Farmers Alliance to fill our produce needs, and this was our first bag! We got some bok choy, honey, oyster mushrooms, pea shoots, salad greens, and spinach. Can't wait for next week!

may:11 My baking frenzy continues with these whole wheat hamburger buns. They turned out smaller than I thought they would, so they'll be slider buns!

may:10 Have I mentioned how much I love Spring? Better get out there and enjoy it before it turns to a hot and humid summer! Our Springs aren't very long in KC!

may:5 Would you look at the SIZE of that BEE? I swear he was the size of a floating bowling ball! *Note: I have a tendency to slightly exaggerate. Don't judge. :)

may:4 Homemade 'Pop Tarts'...these are going to take a little practice. Not pretty, but yummy!
